Ethical Hacker and Cybersecurity Consultant - 10 Posts

Responsibilities:

  • Penetration Testing – To assist Lead  & Senior Penetration Expert in conducting IT Security Penetration Testing (“Ethical Hacking”).
  • Vulnerability Assessment – To conduct intensive vulnerability assessments on systems, networks, and applications.
  • ISO 27001 Implementation – Assist and take the lead in implementing ISO 27001 controls for project clients.
  • Take the lead in document preparation, presentation, and assist Lead Security Consultant in various security works.
  • Work closely with the Lead Cyber Security Consultant and Security Expert to provide cyber security advisory to clients.
  • Perform PCI DSS related consulting work.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, Networking, and Programming majors will be an advantage.
  • CGPA 3.5 and above
  • Knowledge in Web programming and familiar with Linux and Unix environments.
  • Possess own transport as you may be required to travel locally, and overseas travel will be necessary.

Common Criteria Evaluator (TÜV Austria Cybersecurity Lab Sdn Bhd)

TÜV AUSTRIA Cybersecurity Lab Sdn Bhd is looking for an information security consultant/evaluator to support our security testing lab in Malaysia. This is a skilled technical role responsible for developing and applying cyber security best practices in the evaluation and testing of security products across the whole spectrum of technology, from network devices, databases, software applications or operating systems.

 

The role requires a sound knowledge of networking and security protocols, and an ability to quickly become familiar with new technologies. This role also requires the ability to deal with sensitive information discreetly and securely.

The position is open at both junior and senior levels depending on the candidate’s background.

 

The specific responsibilities that relate to this role at a junior level include:

  • Delivery of technical evaluation and testing, including writing technical reports summarizing evaluation and testing findings.
  • Keeping abreast of advances in information security technologies and developments in security testing practices and standards.
  • Develop test plans following security testing best practices.
  • Understanding ISO 17025 requirements.
  • Understanding Common Criteria for Information Technology Security Evaluation (referred to as Common Criteria or CC) international standard (ISO/IEC 15408).

 

For More Experienced Applicants Additional Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead technical evaluation and testing, including all phases of the security product evaluation process and developing project completion schedules.
  • Develop test plans following security testing best practices.
  • Provide evaluation support to clients, including advice on evaluation approaches and development of technical documentation.

 

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in cyber security, software assurance or technical research.
  • Bachelor’s degree in cyber security, computer science or related technical field; or a certificate of qualification in the area of cyber security field. E.g. CISSP, SSCP.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.

  • Familiar with common security vulnerabilities in software and hardware (OWASP Top 10, CVE, etc.).
  • Familiar with functional and non-functional testing methodologies.
  • Previous experience utilizing technical testing applications (Burp Suite, Nessus, Metasploit etc.) is preferred.
